Pam Farrel

My unique contribution is Hope Alive, where I share why taking the time to do this study will enrich, encourage, and equip you with handles to hold on to hope. I share honest, sometimes raw, personal examples of how studying these psalms has kept Hope Alive in my own life. I also offer a bridge to the artist within many of you with my Creative Biblical Expressions examples, as well as a Creative Biblical Expressions group on Facebook where we can stay connected and share more Scripture, more hope, and more art so the wonderful growth you will experience in this study can continue on, long after the pages of this book are filled and colored with God’s love to you.

My husband, Bill, and I are the authors of Men Are Like Waffles—Women Are Like Spaghetti (more than 300,000 copies sold) and Red-Hot Monogamy. In addition, I've written 52 Ways to Wow Your Husband and The 10 Best Decisions a Woman Can Make. We're co-founders and co-directors of Love-Wise, an organization to help people connect love and wisdom and bring practical insights to their personal relationships.

Jean E. Jones

You'll hear from me throughout the discovery book. Each chapter centers on one of the hopes we have in God. I've divided the chapters into five lessons of about 20 minutes each that will take you deeply into God's Word and help you apply it to your life. Each lesson will walk you through writing a personal prayer psalm. There are sidebars with extra insights for both seasoned Christians and seekers who thrive on details.

I started teaching the Bible and leading small group discussions as a senior in high school. I'm a contributing writer for Crosswalk.com and a member of the International Society for Women Apologists. I've written articles for Today’s Christian Woman and Home Life. I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart, Clay, a Christian apologetics professor at Biola University. We've both lived in Southern California our entire lives, and we were foster parents to three preteen/teen girls at once. I enjoy exotic foods, like the rooster claws and century eggs we had in Asia.

Karla Dornacher

You'll hear from me at the end of each chapter in Creative Connection. I'll share inspiration and ideas to help you see God's Word through your own creative lens and express it through your unique artistic talents. You'll be encouraged to use the creative moments you have during this study as opportunities to hear God's heart for you as well as to hide his Word in your heart. And you'll discover a few design, coloring, and hand-lettering tips to jump start your own creative journey through the Psalms.

I started painting at the age of 40, after surrendering to God’s call to live and thrive in the city. My art has been featured in multiple gift books and adult coloring books. My husband, Michael, and I make our home in Washington State.
